After a violent encounter with a street gang called the Scars, young woman Brenda and her mute sister trash the car of the gang leader, leading to a brutal retribution from the gang. The woman’s sister is raped and her pregnant friend is thrown off a viaduct to her death. Brenda decides to arm herself and seek her revenge. When she finds them hanging out at a nearby warehouse, a bloodbath starts and the gang soon regrets ever messing with Brenda in the first place.
Savage Streets is a 1984 teen vigilante action film directed by former hardcore porn filmmaker Danny Steinmann. With Linda Blair and Linnea Quigley under the spotlight, this is a violence-heavy revenge film that, in its 93 minutes of running time, offers plenty of adrenaline-fueling thrills. The tagline from the original poster stated “their only law is an eye for an eye”, and this pretty much sums up the plot of the movie. Funnily enough, nothing else is actually needed. Arrow Video released the film on DVD in 2011, but since many of the copies were destroyed in the fire during the London riots, this DVD was considered a rare and desired commodity on collectors’ bookshelves.
