Watch Now: THREE MEN TO KILL

Based on Jean-Patrick Manchette's 1976 novel West Coast Blues (or, in the original, Le Petit Bleu de la côte ouest), Jacques Deray's 1980 box office success Three Men to Kill (Trois hommes à abattre) is a crime thriller starring the great Alain Delon in the lead role, accompanied by the likes of Dalila Di Lazzaro, Michel Auclair and Pierre Dux. The screenplay was written by Deray, Delon and British-French writer Christopher Frank, while French jazz pianist Claude Bolling's memorable score elevates the picture to an above-average genre delicacy.

A middle-aged professional card player stumbles knee-deep into mortal danger as one night he tries to help a barely surviving victim of a car crash. Unfortunately for him, the victim was in fact an ordered hit, and now the assassins' focus shifts onto him, as he involuntarily becomes a small piece of a giant illegal gun trade puzzle. Three Men to Kill is a very enjoyable fast-paced ride from start to finish, successfully playing to its strengths and effectively using the “innocent man in the wrong place” premise. Both French thriller and car chase aficionados, rest assured: Three Men to Kill should be right up your alley.
